He is 3!

My posts are not in chronological order sorry!!
Payton had his 3rd birthday on march 27th. because travis had a fight that night we celebrated it on the 28th so travis could eat some cake!! well that's not the only reason but for sure one of the main ones :) we had lots of family over and payton loved that the focus was on him!! i cant believe my little baby is three!! i thought once they turned three the terrible twos would go away but i don't know if his ever will!! that kid can be sooooo naughty and then two seconds later melt me with his cute little smile and eyes. dang it, he already knows how to work me over!!! happy birthday my payters!!

Moab Half Marathon

so i got a little bit of crap for not posting about my race so here you go. on march 21st i ran my 3rd half marathon!! i was excited to run this race, not because i had trained super hard and felt like i was just going to smoke it. it was because my last race was a full marathon and only running and training for a half was not near as hard :) anyways i went into the race not really sure how i would do, cause i was so burned out from the marathon ( i know it was a while ago but still) i really didn't push too hard during my training. so when i hit mile 10 and looked at my gps and saw that i had 30 minutes to run 3 miles to finish under 2 hours i was so happy i almost started crying!! i know sad huh! this race was such a good race for me. i felt like i pushed as hard as i could for 13 miles, i even came close to throwing up the last 2 miles. i ended up finishing the race in 1 hour and 58 minutes!!!! yeah for me!! as for the pictures ... top left - me waving at the kids while crossing the finish line. top right - me and stacie johnson my running buddy :) and i am sure you can figure the rest out. if you can't you don't know me very well ;)

Tapout

Most of you know that know that Travis was featured on a reality fight show last spring called tapout. they came out and filmed for a week, with the show ending with Travis fighting. tapout ended up sponsoring him and they became pretty close. on march 11th Travis got the news that "mask" was killed in a car wreck. he took it pretty hard and so we decided to fly out to California for the funeral. when we landed we got a text telling us they postponed the funeral til April. we heard there was a bunch of memorabilia at the crash site so we decided we would go and see it. (these pictures are from the crash site) anyways Travis got to spend time with "scrape" and "punkass and it actually turned out to be a healing trip for Travis.

for those who have seen the show tapout you would think that they are just these crazy wild guys who are out of control. i was in fact a little worried about them coming to my home! but they are really great guys who care about people and their dreams especially mask. it sounds odd to say this but in a weeks time mask had a huge impact on Travis and his fight game. thanks mask!!!

Fight time again!

He WON!!! on Friday day Travis had another great fight! he went into this fight being a little beat up. about 2 weeks before he was training and accidentally caught a knee right above his eye. it split him open pretty good, he ended up with about 15 stitches!! so everyone was pretty worried that he would get hit and the cut would open again and they would have to stop the fight do to injury. luckily he dominated the fight and his cut stayed closed!!! the poor kid he fought got worked!! at the end of the second round he had a small cut on his forehead from Travis landing some pretty mean elbows and decided to use that for an excuse to get out of the fight. so the fight ended by the kid giving up. someone said after the fight "i love it when they don't come out for the next round, that's when you know you have just destroyed their mental game!" that is the second fight where Travis has destroyed someones mental game! i am way proud of Travis and all his hard work. it amazes me the things he can put his body through to get ready for his fights. i know there is no way i could ever be that strong. Travis you are amazing!!!!!!!!!

T-Train

Travis had his 14th fight last night!!! he looked really good going into the fight and best of all he felt even better! this was Travis's first time fighting at 135. he had to drop 20 pounds! i have never seen Travis so skinny, it was a nasty skinny. he did really well with his weight cut though. up until the day before weigh-ins he was still drinking and eating. the fight went all 3 rounds. it stayed on their feet for 90% of the fight. Travis's hands looked REALLY good. it is cool to see how far his hands have come and how much he has improved. Travis took control of the fight right from the beginning!! so when it came down to the judges decision it was good to hear that they were unanimous about Travis winning all 3 rounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good job Travis i am way proud of you!!

Lookin' Good Trooper Marx

Travis has been on the motors squad with the Highway patrol for about a year now. this year they decided to get new bikes for some of the troopers. Travis got to ride his new BMW home the other day to show us. he is really excited about this bike. he says it feels more like his own bike that he has.

New teeth

Last thursday payton had to go into primary childerns hospital to have some dental work done. he was just suppose to get one filling on one of his front teeth, BUT his one cavitity had spread to his other front tooth AND it went clear down to the nerve. so payton now has two caps on his two front teeth. he kinda looks like the "whos in whoville" . so i guess if they ever make another movie with "whos" payton will be just right for the part :) hopefully he will grow into them soon and of course they will one day fall out. thank goodness!!!!
